No face. Just learning.
nofacelearn makes short, animated explainers that take you from absolute zero to confidently talking about cloud, security, AI and DevOps.
Why “no face”?
Most tech videos are built around a person. That's great for personality, but when you're brand new to something, it's one more thing for your eyes and brain to juggle.
We take the person out of the frame and give the whole screen to the idea. Numbers move, boxes swap, data travels from your phone to a server and back, so you see the concept instead of just hearing about it.
Being faceless also means the focus stays on the learning, not on who's teaching it. Anyone can feel like this is for them.
how we explain
Three rules for every video
-
Start from zero
No “as you already know”. If a video needs an idea you haven't met yet, it explains it first, or links you to the explainer that does.
-
Show, don't lecture
Every concept gets a picture: switches for binary, a waiter for APIs, a castle and moat for Zero Trust. If you can picture it, you can remember it.
-
Keep it short
About a minute each. One idea per video, small enough to watch on the bus and big enough to actually learn something.
who it's for
If you've ever felt “tech isn't for me”…
…this is for you. We make explainers for:
- Total beginners who want to understand the tech they use every day.
- Students who want the intuition before the textbook.
- Career switchers moving into cloud, security or AI.
- Developers who want a fast, clear picture of an unfamiliar topic.
- Curious people who just want to know how stuff works.
Where to start
- Brand new? Watch How Computers Count, the very first building block.
- Flip some bits in the binary converter.
- Follow a roadmap, starting with the 30-day one.
- Stuck on a word? Check the glossary.
questions
FAQ
Is nofacelearn free?
Yes. Every explainer, roadmap, cheat sheet, the glossary and all the tools are free.
Do I need any tech background?
No. The Basics topics start from zero and assume nothing. The intermediate topics, like IAM or RAG, build on them, and link back to the basics whenever you need a refresher.
Why is there no face in the videos?
So nothing competes with the idea. The animation shows the concept step by step, which is what actually makes it click.
How often do new explainers come out?
Roughly every week. Follow on Instagram or YouTube to catch each one.
Can I suggest a topic?
Yes, please. Get in touch with whatever confuses you. Your question might be the next video.
